Leak test unit PDA 0/2-600 for ferrules
The leak test unit PDA 0/2-600 has been designed for testing tap fittings to be connected to gas and water pipes up to nominal diameter 600. Appropriate settings on the system facilitate the testing of various geometrical shapes and nominal sizes. The system consists of a test fixture with eccentric clamps. The test specimen is clamped above the water tank. Using a lever system, the test specimen is sealed from below and pressurized with compressed air.
To test the tightness, the complete clamping device is immersed in the illuminated water tank. The tightness is checked manually (air bubbles). The air-under-water test procedure has the advantage that in addition to an estimate of the size of the leak (bubbles per minute), the location of the leak can also be determined. The test sequence (chronological sequence) can be changed individually using manually adjustable timers.
