Function test stand switch modules

The test device serves to check the function of switch modules. The shaft of the switch module (test specimen) is rotated by a stepper motor by a fixed angle and in a pre-set direction. A rotary angle sensor is attached to the shaft of the stepper motor and permanently measures the position of the stepper motor shaft. During the rotation process, the switching states of the test specimen’s internal switches are queried by a PLC.
 
As soon as the PLC registers a change in the switching states, the current rotation angle is measured and displayed on the panel. The measured rotation angle is then compared with the pre-set parameters of the test program. If the measured rotation angles are within the pre-set tolerances, the test specimen is rated as “OK”, if one of the measured values is outside the tolerance, the test specimen is considered as “not OK”. The result of the test is shown on a panel in both colour and plain text.

The test parameters input is realised in a customer-specific manner from permanently programmed values via manually changeable ones up to the type-specific test database. The test results are also evaluated customer-specifically, from simple signalling of the test result via signing to a database of the test results with automatic certificate generation.
