Leak test unit PDFA 1/2-1

The system is used to test thermostatically controlled taps for leaks and functionality. The functional tests are program-controlled in accordance with the requirements towards the taps. The functional tests include, as standard, checking the control performance of the thermostat at a setting of 38 °C, the cross-flow test, the safety shutdown in the event of cold water failure and, if available, testing the solenoid valves.

The test procedure is carried out automatically according to the selected programme. For this purpose, individual test steps are stored in the test stand software, which can be changed or expanded by the operator. The test steps and other test parameters can be entered separately for each of the individual test steps. Related to specific items, individual test steps are dedicated to a certain complex test, which can consist of both leak tests and functional tests. The set-up of the individual test steps is stored in the database in an item-specific manner and loaded into the test stand controller when the respective item is called up.

The test system includes water treatment with the tanks for hot, mixed and cold water, the pumps for the flow pressure, the cold water unit and the filters. The test water is largely circulated and purified through dirt and legionella filters. The water is heated or cooled to the required temperatures in the water treatment system.

The test stand is operated via PC-based visualisation.
